Cherise Dakota

Ahhhh my Cher, where shall I begin :-) 16,smart,funny,silly,drama queen,loving,,sincere,caring,attitude,self confident, and the list goes on.... Definitely a girl who knows what she wants and don't take no for an answer, she takes no crap from no one and will tell you the truth. Very smart and intelligent, she is what I will call the perfect big sister, always caring and protective of all of them, ready to knock you down if you touch her siblings, she will help out with school and take the time to show them what to do, she will get up and make me breakfast in bed, or just make breakfast for everyone. She loves to jump on everyone and sniff them,yes she can be a weirdo lol.  She is my baby girl,my best friend, my first precious gift given to me by god, my savior, she is a beautiful young woman whom we treasure very much and life wouldn't be right if she wasn't in it, she is a blessing. Shaquille angelous

He is our big boy shaq, he is finally a teenager and I'm still in awe about the whole thing.
Shaq is definitely not a shy boy and will tell you how it is whether you want to hear it or not!
He will eat you out of house and roof LOL, he is very sensitive and trys to help out in any way, he will always go the extra mile to make you happy, just like his mama he suffers from OCD hey we like things a certain way OK . he will wake up make his bed and clean his side of the room, makung sure everything is neat, loves to help in the kitchen and enjoys watching cooking shows. He is obsessed with Lego's and has a ton of them, he will sit there and build something that is amazing, he is a genius with numbers he will sit down and it just flows, not to well with his spelling :-) he is definitely a whiz, he fixes things and creates things out of nothing. He is a softy for his little sister and will read to her play with her and also has put her to sleep when she was a baby. He will correct someone if they raise there voice to me and get up stand tall and say don't talk to my mum like that, melts my heart every time. He is an amazing young man. Antonio Armante

Our Mr antonio , he is our comedian, our smarty pants, our Mr know it all and the list goes on, his charectar is way bigger then he is, and he knows his a pretty boy :-)
He is 11 years old sometimes thinking his twenty the way he acts, loves to make everyone happy, and will hug you out of the blue, but just when you need it. Always the first to kiss me and hug me goodnight and tells me he loves me always with a god bless you after. He is a night walker, and will hop out of bed still sleeping going in everyone's room talking to them, he will not go to sleep without saying a prayer, which I think is special. He is a very smart boy and always ahead of his schooling, always wanting to help someone else. He is definitely good for acting, he will role play and keep it in play without loosing track or laughing. Loves to do magic tricks for his siblings. He is definitely a caring brother, he will do anything to make his baby sister laugh, he is our daredevil never afraid of anything or to do anything in life, he is picky with his food, and has an eye for the ladies, ever since he was a baby he attracted all ladies and still does, his eyes pull you in I get told. He is a blessing like no other and without him our family wouldn't be complete. Well that's a little about Antonio. Thanks for reading

Kanye Axel

Our MR Kanye, where shall I begin, he is our monster and yes he is a menace lol in a good way..... Kanye gets bored very quickly and sometimes its hard to entertain little MR, from his behavior and ways apparently he takes after one of his uncles, he is a very hands on young man, he loves cars and knows more or less what make a car is or design, he has always loved cars from a baby, he used to steal his brothers cars and play with them.  He is a very smart boy, he has an excellent memory of his surroundings and will give us directions if his been there before which are always right. He definitely is a daddy's boy, he worries all the time when daddy is at work, he hates to give hugs and kisses, he goes shy, we have to sneak up on him for hugs :-p he likes the outdoors and he LOVES his videogames which he is only allowed to play after school work is done.  He is a great big brother and cares for his younger sisters, very protective, he will guide them out of harms way if he feels there in any. He hates making his bed and cleaning his side of the room, he likes to take his clothes off and throw them, he also loves being in underwear, little rascal. I could go on and on.... That's a little about Kanye! Handsome boy.

My pretty little princess vannah, the most fragile, sensitive,bubbly,silly and caring little girl. This princess and I say princess as she truly is a princess and believes she is one too :-) is 4 1/2years old, (going on 30) she loves to dress up all the time, can walk in heels, loves clothes and shoes, hates makeup thank god, doesn't really like her hair done, likes to pick her clothes out and definitely likes to shop like her mama. She is a corn eating master like daddy says, loves her corn and chicken. Loves to participate in school work, enjoys being read too, but most of all loves her cuddles, I would say she is more of a mummy's girl, she loves to watch boys shows with her brothers especially ninjago. She does love her princesses and movies and yes just like all other girls her age she is obsessed with frozen, she loves Elsa! Lately its been get me this get me that..... She has always been a calm child, never fussed a lot and still don't, will sit and watch without a peep from her, falls asleep cuddling her Teddy's and her blanket. She is a jewel. She is a blessing to our family and we love our princess very much..... There are three girls and yet she can only claim princess role :-) the other two are so different. Madison Scotlen update

Madison is 19 months and is not ready to go potty like a big girl..  I think 2years or a little later she will be ready, I'm in no rush to be honest! We do cloth diapers during the day and a disposable at night as she is one heavy wetter! Not even the kawaii heavy wetter goodnight works, I've tries 3 inserts and prefolds and still she wakes up drenched' she is a belly sleeper and most nights is in bed with us so that leaves me changing our whole bedding too, so not fun. She wears target brand for night and she does just fine. I used to to have quite the large stash different brands and so..... But sadly they got lost along all my other baby items :-( very sad makes me want to cry, but it is what it is right. Currently we have 3 days worth which is not bad, have a few BG,fuzzibunz, Alva,sunbaby and kawaii. Kawaii is one of my favorite diapers ever it works well with Madison.
This little 19month old is full of life and we love it, she definitely keeps us on our toes but she is such a loving, funny,independent, motivated toddler ever and let me not forget to say the bully of the house. I always knew she would be a tomboy her face gave it away.
When she sees anyone upset she will go hug them and kiss them, she will also ask them if there OK, in her own way, she does say a jibberish work then OK? So we got that!
She loves the outdoors, especially trampoline time and definitely a water baby, she will just throw herself in the bath or pool which can be quite dangerous, we never leave her unattended for a second.
I would have to say that she is most closest to Cher, she loves her like crazy. Cher is always spoiling her and holding her, there is a 14 year difference but you would never notice when there always together.
Well that was a little about our little girl Madison scotlen. She is a blessing for sure.

Crappy day

Not sure what happened today but all I wanted to do was sit down and weep all day long, I missed my mum and dad like crazy today and really wished there was a phone just to pick it up and call heaven, I miss them all the time but today was a tough one.
So after getting myself a little together, I decided to bake some home made protein bars, lately I've been struggling with energy especially morning so I taught it would keep me busy too being in the kitchen, turnt the radio on DC101 obviously, I made two different types, banana and peanut butter which I've made before and a new one chocolate I made today which I've named choconono LOL yup kids had a say!

After I had dinner on the table I got the little ones bathed and settled, and I managed to sneak out for a short 20min walk, ended up getting a severe cramp again while walking, which is not fun and I am drinking water so I know its not from being dehydrated, so not sure. I even managed to hop in the shower, wash my hair and straighten it without hearing muuuuuum LOL or hun. I guess they all knew I needed some time.

I will go ahead and post the pics of my protein bars now :-)

FAIL!!!!

Arghhhhh,
I feel so annoyed and upset at myself, i completely fell off the wagon the past week, sick kids, AF, and now yup you guessed i got whatever the kids had, and some still have.
My diet has consisted of picking at whatever has been easy, not fast food or anything but not what i would call healthy. i think the most healthy thing that i picked at a lot was grapes and cherries and maybe bananas.
hubby grilled twice out the week as i couldn't tolerate the oven on or the smell, and it got the kids out so that meant quiet time.
we don't get much quiet time in the house, which i don't mind but when i am sick i do need a breather!!

Another thing i keep failing at is keeping up with this blog, its weird but when the kids are doing work i seem to get more time then when they are not doing school work, they seem to be more focused on what they are doing which Free's me some time to do whatever chores i have.

Madison is not a fussy toddler, she will sit and watch or entertain herself, well most of the time unless she is having a bad day. So on a regular day i do get things done while she plays or watches her favorite show. the kids have headphones while doing school work so it don't interfere with there work. and normally they don't see the TV anyway so they don't get distracted.

Another disappointment this week which i cant really talk to much about is, moving......... well lets just say its going to even take longer, that made me super sad and i know i shouldn't let it get to me but there are a lot of reasons why, but i have given my burden to god and i am more then positive he will find a way, just like he always does.

once the kids are full time in the regular routine i will post more regular, i do take pics i just forget to blog and post. well no time really.

Cleaning never ends!!

Today has been a day where cleaning has been a constant battle,I decided to take all the schooling supplies out and organize there corner. I can finally say it is organized.
I do have there books to go through next which I'm dreading but I need to get it done by the weekend.
My husband spent the morning in the garden,and we finally got to sample our lettuce,which I must say was absolutely delishish,crisp and fresh!
We also got tyme and some other herbs from the garden too. I have to say growing your own veg and fruit is so rewarding,not only financially but health wise too, we know what we are eating and its always fresh.
I didn't get time to excersise today, to be honest I skipped breakfast and lunch. My day was not long enough. Its almost 830pm and I still have laundry to fold and put away. Kids are all in bed god bless them,they have been great considering we did chores all day. Well that's all for now. Thankyou for following. As always god bless you.

organizing!

With school starting back up soon, i want every room organized and ready to go! 

Today hubby and i tackled the boys room, and our home school books that we are going to use at some point this year, with three boys sharing a room you can only imagine what they get up to and what mess there is to clean. I normally clean there room on my own but hubby has some days off so he decided to help me, tomorrow i need to tackle some more things especially the kitchen cupboards,pantry and pots and pans. I also plan to do the girls room and sort some things out, i find myself organizing there things every month lately, with limited space it gets hard to do things how you want. 

Today hasn't been a bad day, but for some reason i am super tired and have no energy what so ever. hubby is cooking dinner for the kids and himself, i already ate so i am just sitting here while i got ten minutes to spare. it is almost 7:30pm and everybody is winding down, they are ready to eat and settle down for the evening. To be honest i can't wait to go to my bed tonight i am really tired. Hubby got us some movies to watch, so that makes it even better.

This week i want to make some home made protein bars to see if maybe a bar would help with energy when I'm feeling i have none, i have 2 recipes that i use but i am currently trying out a new one. (wish me luck) 

Heat wise today was manageable, it wasn't so bad. i still cant wait for the fall. i am planning to make some fall crafts this year, including some candles. don't you love the smell of scented candles? my favourite scent is rain and then strawberry, hmmm i like more or less all of them :-)

Is it over?

We are in July and i have to say i really can't wait for summer to be out of here already! It is to hot and sticky and my kids are driving me mad,where all they do is complain that they don't want to do things cause it's to hot, but yet they are bored. We start our home learning back up in about two weeks, the reason we start a little earlier is to catch up on some revised work and we always take a day off here and there so it all adds up and fits in well.
I also have some new things i want to try for this school year and savannah will be starting school too, so i want to make sure i can give everybody the right divided time.
I am also super excited as i have some great crafts i am dying to try out. I also have some field trips planned throughout the up coming year. So fingers crossed it should be a good one.
The kids are really looking forward to the fall season, we have some nice things planned for them, including there own pumpkin patch,that hubby and i planted for them and i must say they are growing really nice too.
  Once we start our system back up i will post and publish pictures of our daily crafts or what we have done that day.

What have we been up to?

Hmmm let me think. Our family gets more busy in the summer time, kids want to be out. We take a break from school and we just enjoy late nights, sleep ins and of course be lazy!. LOL.

So we got the kids a pool a nice size one it holds 1100 gallons of water so its pretty nice and so was the price got it clearance for $49 yup. Hubby put up the kids trampoline too. So between pool and outdoor toys kids have been happy but it seems its more work for me due to all the towels and feet marks of in and out.  I really do not feel like cooking lately its just to hot, talking about hot its almost 100 degrees right now outside.

Our oldest had a friend over for a week so that was company for her.... We also got to go on an unexpected dinner date to lorghorns which we enjoyed. Had some nice alone time with each other.
We had a great 4th of july . hubby worked but was home by 4 like always so we still got to BBQ and do fireworks, it was nice we normally go out but this time we didn't it was just our family and beautiful. I plan to start blogging again as I have started the biggest loser 6 week diet. Atkins made me very sick and week. Hope everyone had a great holiday. I will post some pics. A few meals

Just when you think things will get quiet, things get crazy. Here are a few of our meals. Sometimes its just to hectic to remember to take pics especially when you have 6 grumpy kids and teens oh I think I should of said 7 cause hubby comes home grumpy too till he gets fed lol.

Summer time is were we eat a lot of salads and fruit salads, we are currently growing our own garden. This is our first year so we are praying and keeping our fingers crossed everything grows well.

Busy busy busy

It has been really busy around here lately, hubby finally got his stripes from when he was promoted to corporal so that was pretty exciting.

Our 16 month old is forming sentences and it is beyond cute. She has started to count which is a super mile stone. All the other kids will cheer her on so that sets her off even more.
The weather has been great the last few days but today has been a heat wave, it was super hot.
the last few days I have not been feeling to great, I don't suffer from high blood pressure but it has been super high. I think my sugar levels have a lot to do with it. So I think a visit to my doctor is in order, to see what is going on there.
I have forgotten to post our meals and so, hopefully I can get back on track. Today we had spaghetti and meatballs with garlic bread. I will post a pic of yesterdays dinner which was chicken with mushroom and mash potato and veg.

Productive saturday

My day started with seeing my baby off to work at 5:45am. Madison woke up and layed in bed with me, we watched some cartoons and then she feel back to sleep. My boys wake up early on a Saturday as all there favorite shows come on so they tend to hang on the coach and watch, normally shaq who is almost 13 will pour the cereal for everyone, which I leave everything set up and ready for the morning except the milk. So that gives me an extra 30mins to lay in bed, which normally I tend to clip coupons.

After watching a movie which is called hungry for change I wanted to get up and really evaluate what we have in our pantry and so..... I decided to make some healthy changes.
So I ended making some healthy and organic recipes.

I made some chia pancakes and made extra batches for the week. Along with some home made fruit punch and home made fruit jelly. For dinner today I made grilled pork chops with black rice and veg along with a pineapple sauce to top it off.

The kids did there school work and extra work today. Only had a load of laundry today as I did 3 yesterday.

For lunch I made the kids some penne with bacon and eggs.
It is just gone 530pm and its a beautiful day so hubby and I are going for a walk and the kids are getting in some electronics time. They do deserve it they have been doing really well on there school program.

After our walk going to get everyone showered and ready for bed and then its a movie with my baby, we are watching DA davinci code.
